First Time?
We know... it can be a little un-nerving to step into a new thing, especially when you're not exactly sure about the details that matter to you! Here, we've compiled the answers to some frequently asked questions about the Church... questions which may address issues important to you. And, if you don't find what you're looking for here, please, contact us via email or phone and someone will get back with you as quickly as possible!
What should I wear?
At TDC, you're welcome to wear whatever you'd like. You'll see people in shorts and flip-flops sitting next to people with tan pants and dress shirts and anything in between. There is no set dress code, although the attire is more on the casual side. Just be you.
What does the church look like?

TDC is housed in a warehouse that's been cleaned, repainted, adjusted, tweaked... but, it still looks like a warehouse (only much cleaner)! The worship area is filled with a few pews, a bunch of squishy chairs, a few tables and chairs- it's very eclectic. You'll also see the set-up for a band on stage, lots of candles, a projector and hanging TVs for the multi-media presentations, and a snack area that serves sodas and coffee.
What will the service be like?
We generally do a few things each week... We will sing a few songs together (which will be led by a band), we will introduce new people who have recently joined our church family and pray for them, as well as have a time for prayer (No, you will not be asked to stand up and pray-- or even to pray aloud!), a time of teaching... in which we generally teach straight through books of the Bible, and we will partake of communion and reflect on what God has been saying and what we are learning... and consider what we should do about it.
Will I be asked to sign anything, say anything, or be singled out in any way?
No. We do not ask you to sign anything, although you are certainly welcome to address us with your own questions, via person-to-person contact or by filling out an info card. If you wish, you may fill out a card to get on the church's email list. But none of that is "required" or pushed on you. Also, we don't ask the visitors to sit while everyone else stands, and we won't introduce you to everyone there.
What about my kids?
We have KIDZONE for children up to age 5. There is a nursery for the younger kids and a smaller worship area complete with tables, games, and other things for the older kids to do. Children experience an age appropriate worship time when they become toddlers. And, they are given an age-graded curriculum and lesson. Starting with children in the 1st grade, we encourage families to bring their children into the larger corporate worship time (big church) with them, so they can begin to learn about worship and even integrate them into doing ministry within the church alongside the adults. In addition, many of the older kids enjoy the larger worship times. Ohhh... here's the running joke, too... Don't drink the water unless you want to have a baby. Seriously...It used to be a strange thing when someone announced, "I'm pregnant..." But, not any more. Seriously.
What kind of a church is this? Is this a Christian church?
Yes, although the place does look different from other churches, we do have a definite set of beliefs (which you can check out here- what we believe), similar to many other churches, although it may flesh itself out differently than other places.
How do I get there?
